Garlic-Citrus Hummus

If you are a man looking to make an impression on a fairly open-minded lady, this appetizer recipe should be right up your alley. Prep time is about 10 minutes. Easy as that.
If you are unfamiliar with hummus, it is a mediterannean based appetizer consisting of pureed cooked chickpeas (also called garbanzo beans) and various spices and flavors. In our house we use slices of pita bread to dip into the hummus.
The only things you need are the ingredients and a blender or food procesessor. This is pretty basic hummus recipe, but I punched up the garlic a bit to give it a flavor boost.
- 1 can garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. salt.
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- Juice of one lemon
- 5 cloves of garlic, lightly smashed
Blend all ingredients in a food processor or blender until smooth. You may need to add a little bit of oil to keep it to a smooth texture. Serve with crackers or pita bread.

Great idea - the lemon, pepper and garlic will really give it a kick. So easy to make as well!

Hey Adam, where's the Tahini in this recipe?
