VideoJug Food & Drink Site

The Men in Aprons mailbox fills up on a daily basis with spam, comments, press releases and announcements of the latest and greatest Web 2.0 venture. Usually I trash them or spam them. But I was intrigued this time when Video Jug's new BETA release proved to be quite nice.

The web is cluttered with YouTube clones right now, and for a while I thought VideoJug was just another one. But the food and drink category is a little different than any old video site. When you post a movie of your favorite recipe, you get the option of adding the recipe text. The site allows the user to post the ingredients and the instruction as well as switch back and forth between metric and imperial measurements.

And like any good Web 2.0 site, it has areas for ratings, comments, and a proper RSS feed. Good stuff, I say. I think VideoJug may be breaking the YouTube mold with this wonderful tool. Check out this vid recipe for grilled flank steak:
