TheWife and my oldest son made a gingerbread house for Christmas this year. Aside from the candies, it was all from scratch. She made the gingerbread from scratch, according to old German recipes, and the icing was also from scratch. It's amazing how much powdered sugar can go into making one small batch of icing. I am not going to write the recipe for this because it is too complicated and complex. Also, how many people do you know that actually make gingergread houses from scratch? Or at all?

It is almos that time of year where Men in Aprons celebrates its anniversary. We have grown in leaps and bounds throughout 2006, and I am looking to make it bigger in '07. But for right now, have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Happy Kwanzaa, or whatever winter-based holiday you celebrate.

love the first words of last paragraph:
"It is almos" Almos? Were you having a Terrell Owens moment?

but seriously, thewife and son must be very talented. I would probably pay money for such a gingerbread haus.
