Greetings to all of you coming from Hungry Girl. I appreciate the time you have spent checking out my site, and I'm glad you all like the Ziploc Omelette Entry. Lisa has honored me with a link to MIA, and I'm glad she did as I wouldn't have found her wonderful site otherwise. Looks like she's been in business just about as long as I have with MIA.

I would like to take this quick opportunity to introduce myself and my site, Men in Aprons. My name is Adam Byrd, and I'm a 31 year old father of two from Austin, Texas. Men in Aprons has been around for 2 years now and is still going strong.

When I started this web site in the autumn of 2004, I originally intended it to be a place for men to go to find recipes and information. Soon, I found that women and men alike were visiting the site with equal interest in what I had to say. I am a big proponent of gender equality in the kitchen, but to spend my days on that soapbox would be a waste of bandwidth. I hope that through my example, men out there will break those gender stereotypes and get into the kitchen and do us proud. I do not think that male cooks should be reserved for television or cookbooks, nor do I believe that the only place a man should cook is in the backyard manning the grill.

I believe that food and cooking should not be for the uber-rich or the ultra pretentious. Food is for everyone.

While you're here, take some time to look around. I post recipes, pictures, tips, tricks, and my experiences on a regular basis. I have a running series called "A Treatise on Grilling" which you might find interesting and helpful. Being a big fan of grilling and barbequeing, I want to give it back to the world, and help my fellow man (and men) where it really matters: at the grill.

Stick around for another edition of What in the Heck?, my (semi) regular contest, where you can win free stuff by guessing what's in the picture I post. I've given away dozens of bottles of hot sauce, barbeque sauce, and soon to be seasoning blends.

Thank you very much for reading and for your interest in Men in Aprons. Take a moment to visit our sponsors, Big Daddy Jakes, , or go buy a Men in Aprons Apron for your loved one this christmas.
