Adam's Pit Master Ribs
Just a little bit of barbecue porn for you this morning. Last weekend, I got a chance to barbeque some ribs that were still in the cryovac from the last smoke. This time, however, I wanted to try out Big Daddy Jakes new Pit Master BBQ Rub. After tasting the rub, I new that it had to be mixed with some brown sugar. We like sweet ribs in our family, and the PIt Master rub was a little too salty just on it's own. The rub does contain brown sugar, but not nearly enough for our taste.
I mixed 1/2 cup of brown sugar with 5 heaping tablespoons of the Pit Master then rubbed it generously all over the rack of ribs. The result was very good. TheWife like it a lot, since the rub wasn't quite as sweet as I usually make it. I like them really sweet, she only wants a hint of the sweet stuff. So there has to be a balance. All in all a fine product for good barbecue.
