And we have a winner! Elisson correctly answered that its type of meat tenderizer. This number is actually branded for Steven Raichlen, barbeque master. For him, it's supposed to let the marinade seep down into the meat better.

Hey kids! What time is it? It's What in the Heck time! That's right, by being the first to answer correctly, you could be the winner of a FREE bottle of Big Daddy Jake's Barbecue Sauce. Oh, it's so fabulous, how could you not want to answer?

For those of you new to this game, every other week I will present an interesting kitchen or cooking contraption that YOU have to guess what it is. If you are first person to guess correctly in the comments of this entry, Men in Aprons will ship to you a FREE bottle of BBQ sauce from Big Daddy Jakes. Take a moment to review the rules of this contest.

Just what in the heck is this thing? You can answer specifically what it is, or you can just say what it is used for. Leave your answer in the comments.

i know it! But I won't say cause I'm not a prize hog. But I did see it on Altons show. :o)

It looks like an old-style Meat Tenderizer.

You'd press the spikes repeatedly into your Tough Meat Cut...a job made easier thanks to the spring-loaded mechanism that would help pull the spikes out of the meat. Presto! Minute Steak!
