Deb, of Deb's Delectables, posted her list on her blog Here and There. She also posted her own list of must-have baking items.

Kevin from Seriously Good submits this one: "I've found that vermouth makes a great kitchen wine. It keeps better than ordinary wine and makes a fine reduction for most sauces."

Here's Tom Oaks' lists of food and non-food must-haves in the kitchen:
Food Items
10: Oil, olive or otherwise
9: an assortment of vinegars
8: good pepper grinder, and kosher salt
7: beef and chicken stock or broth
6: butter
5: onions
4: fresh garlic
3: soy sauce
2: lemons
1: beer

Non-food items:
10: dutch oven or heavy cast-iron pot w/ lid
9: good chef knife
8: good mixing bowls
7: food processor
6: immersion blender
5: rubber spats
4: good tongs
3: non-stick skillet

Big Mista posted two lists on his own site, Survival Gourmet: The Boy Scout Pantry and the Top Ten Culinary Tools.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the must-have kitchen items group project. If you are just now reading this, please submit your own list to me, or write about it in your own blog. I'll keep this post up to date as more entries come in.
