Curry Coffee Grilling Glaze

Ah, the grilling continues unabated. There's just something about the blistering temperatures outside that make me want to fire up the grill and stand in front of more blistering temperatures. This particular recipe is for a very unique glaze for grilled meats. I had been surfing through some keyword-related press releases on "grilling" and "food" and came up on on this interesting glaze recipe created by the executive chef of Dunkin' Donuts. Not one to rush right out and buy a pound of Dunkin' Donuts Coffe, I subsitutued my own coffee and made a few edits on the recipe to suit reality. I had to add the water in the end to help mix up the cocoa, coffee and sugar. WIthout it, the mixture was really lumpy.
Ingredients
- 1 TBSP yellow curry
- 1 TBSP brown sugar
- 1 Tsp. finely ground coffee
- 1 Tsp. chocolate cocoa powder
- 1 Tsp honey
- 2 TBSP olive oil
- 1/2 Tsp. ground black pepper
- 1/2 Tsp. kosher salt
- 2 TBSP water
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and whisk until smooth. Grill your meat as you normally would. Brush the glaze on the meat in the last couple of minutes of grilling.

Oooh, those sound good. I'm hungry for chicken. Have you tried marinated venison or antelope backstraps? Mmmm, mighty tasty.
