Senseo Coffee Pods: Dark Roast

Senseo Dark Roast Coffee PodsAfter finally being able to try the Senseo Dark Roast Coffee Pods, I can say in good conscience that it is excellent and it is my favorite. That and the Killarney Irish Creme. In fact, the only thing that would make the Irish Creme any better, would be some actual Irish Creme in my cup. But I digress.

Compared the the Medium Roast, the Dark Roast (aff) is much more robust in flavor. In terms of color, Medium and Dark both look the same, but I think that has more to do with the beans than the actual color of the brewed coffee.

When I drank the Dark Roast, I got that warm, slightly bitter feeling which I love from a robust coffee. It really made the Medium seem a lot weaker than I suspect it really is. I don't think I'll be sampling the light roast, as it may just taste like coffee-flavored water.
