What in the Heck? #15

Well that was a quickie! Within 30 minutes of posting, we already have a winner. Bill gets a jar of BBQ Sauce for answering that the item is an ULU Knife. It's a versatile cutting tool that comes from the native peoples of Alaska. Usually it is pared with a small wood block with a bowl shape cut into it.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the return of What in the Heck?! WTH took a brief hiatus in the last couple of months while I launched another blog, worked my bohunkus off at work, and dealt with my family. The good news is that readership is way up from our last episode, so hopefully there will be more new winners. If you are unfamiliar with the contest What in the Heck? just sit back a moment.

Regularly, I will post a picture of some strange, unusual, or obscure kitchen device that you are supposed to guess what it is. This may require a google search, and that's OK. It's what the internet is all about. If you are the first person to correctly guess, you win a FREE bottle of Big Daddy Jake's Barbeque Sauce. And you might get a little something extra from me.

So here is today's submisison for What in the Heck?!
