Sweet and Spicy RubIt's national BBQ Month this month, and I'm a bit behind in getting material out. So here's a sweet and spicy rub for your BBQ needs. This goes great on brisket, ribs, pork loin, pork chops, and pork shoulder. BBQ rubs are one of the easiest things to make and store. You just whip up a big batch of it, store it away in your pantry, then use it as you need it. Click on the thumbnail to see the full-size picture.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 2 TBSP chili powder
  • 2 Tsp. ground cayenne pepper
  • 1 TBSP garlic powder
  • 1 Tsp ground cumin

Mix all ingredients well. The mixture should look uniform in color and texture. Store in an airtight container.
