Bread Pudding Parfait

Bread Pudding ParfaitOver the weekend, I had been thinking a lot about my Java Bread Pudding, mostly because I wanted some and was hungry. But I was distressed about the fact that it is not very pretty. Sure, it tastes wonderful and may just make your mullet grow, but it's not camera friendly. We normally bake it in a casserole dish and spoon it into bowls. After watching an episode of Everyday Italian, I got a better idea. Let's put the bread pudding in glasses with some whipped cream or Cool Whip in layers.

OK, so what happened was that I decided to use these very nice, but shallow margarita glasses. I got one layer of pudding and one layer of whipped topping on top. And that was it.

In hindsight, it would have been better to use a thin but tall glass such as a champagne flute. But it was good nonetheless. And as TheWife and I surmised, you just feel fancy when you eat things out of a glass.

For the parfait:

Cook the Bread Pudding and make the Kahlua Cool Whip. Layer into thin glasses with a nice dollup of Cool Whip on top. Place in the fridge to chill for a few hours before serving.
