Don't buy a mix. Moses, smell the roses, don' t buy a mix. You already have everything you need (plus a little extra) to make perfectly good taco filling. So don't waste your 89 cents on that little packet of McCormick Taco Seasoning Mix. Just think about it. It's called "Seasoning Mix." You already have the seasonings in your cabinet; you just need to mix them.

Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs. ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, choppped
- 1 green chile pepper, chopped (your choice of heat)
- 2 TBSP Chili powder
- 1 Tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin
- 1 TBSP flour
- 1/2 cup water
- Tabasco Chipotle Hot Sauce
- Oil

In a small bowl, mix together the chili powder, salt, cumin, an flour. Set aside. In a skillet over medium heat, add some oil and cook the onion, garlic, and chile until soft. Add the ground beef and brown.

Stir in the flour mixture, completely coating the beef. Add the Tabasco and water, cover, reduce heat and simmer for 8 minutes or until the mixture is thick.

Spoon mixture into fresh tortillas or crispy taco shells and top with your choice of cheese, lettuce, salsa, tomatoes or whatever.
