Chocolate Martini

>This wonderful beverage combines two things that women love: booze and chocolate. You should see them watch with their eyes wide open when you make this drink. You see, girls by nature love sweet drinks. Margaritas, Long Island Iced Teas, Kamikazes, etc. That's why so many girls get their first drunk on wine coolers or Boone's Farm wine-like beverages.</p> <p>So when you have an opportunity to make a sweet drink with plenty of booze, and make it look classy, take the opportunity. And get her seconds.</p> <p><b>You will need:</b><br /> <ul><li>3 oz. of your favorite vodka<br /> <li>0.5 oz. Kahlua<br /> <li>Crushed ice<br /> <li>Milk (not skim)<br /> <li>Chocolate syrup<br /> <li>shaker, strainer, Martini glass or other wide rimmed glass</ul></p> <p>The first step is to prepare your glass. A chilled glass works the absolute best here, because it will help the chocolate here well. Find a small saucer or plate and squeeze out some chocolate syrup. Probably a good 2-3 tablespoons worth. Then tip the martini glass over and coat the rim with the chocolate. Depending on your saucer, you may have to stick in one edge and turn the glass through the syrup.</p> <p>In your shaker, add the ice, vodka, Kahlua, and cream. Squeeze in enough chocolate syrup to make it look like chocolate milk. By now, your ladies are foaming at the mouth. Shake well. Strain into your prepared martini glass. </p> <p>This drink is often called a chocolate martini. It is very similar to a white russian, which is not shaken like this drink. </p> <p><b>Variations</b>  Impress your lady friends by topping the drink with chocolate shavings. Get a potato peeler and a bar of chocolate and scrape down the edges to make shavings. </p> <p>I've seen one made with a Hershey's Kiss in the bottom of the glass. Sort of a nice surprise at the end. </p> <p>Another option for glass prep is to to rim the class with cocoa powder. Just make the rim of the glass moist and sticky by using a liqeuer or lime juice. Then dust the edge in fine cocoa powder for that extra elegant look.</p></p> <div id= Printer-Friendly Version

I personally can't stand these chocolate drinks. And I got my first drunk on with Jameson Whiskey and several pints of Molson Canadian draught. But maybe that's just me.

I like the chocolate drinks. They're tasty. But I wouldn't want to get drunk on them. Especially this one. Because anyone who's ever blown chunks drunk on eggnog will tell you that vomiting up dairy is one of the most foul things on this planet.

Ya, it's usually the dairy-based liqueurs that make me want to hurl. Just the smell. Bleh. You will not believe how much money I spent on a bottle of Godiva chocolate liqueur to make chocolate martinis, only to end up letting it go to waste. If you're making fake-tinis (as the vodka drinks are called around my house), you can't go wrong with the fruity flavored ones.
