These are a few of the questions that I get asked frequently.
Q Are you a real chef?
A No, I am not a chef. I am not trained in in any way. I never went to school or studied anywhere. I am a self-taught home cook that aims to enlighten and entertain people like myself. I provide this information so that you can make an informed decision about the information here on Men in Aprons. I do research everything thoroughly and almost every recipe here is tested by myself. All of the pictures of the food are authentic.
Q Men in Aprons? Are you gay or something?
ANo, sorry to disappoint you. I'm as straight as an arrow. This is not to say that Men in Aprons is just for the heteros. We write for all men, straight and gay.
Q What's up with the ads?
A To keep the level of quality of Men in Aprons, we place ads on the site. Hosting, domains, and food must be paid for. I won't lie to you, I do place ads on this site to make money. A few years ago, I realized that I could make money from doing something I love.
For readers, our policy is to place the ads in a non-obtrusive way so that it doesn't interfere with your experience here. For advertisers, our policy is to place the ads in a place that they will be seen. We have to have a balance between both. If you are concerned about either, please send us an email.
Q I emailed you, why haven't you responded
A Most likely, I have not responded to you because you did not follow the terms of service for email communications. Please review them. Please follow all rules of courtesy and politeness. Use words like "please" and "thank you."
Also, please be aware that this is not my job. I do have a day job and a family to support. If you have not received a response, it may be that my work and family life have come before you. I am sorry if I sound very old-fashioned, but I am, so that's how it comes out. Please be patient.
Q I left a comment but it does not show up
A If you do not see your comment show up, please do not fret. If you see your comment one day but it is not there the next, also do not fret. We moderate the comments pretty heavily on Men in Aprons to keep out spammers and trolls. Also, we expect a certain level of common sense when it comes to commenting. Please make all comments on topic for the entry, and do not be rude or insulting. We're not going to make a big deal about it; we'll just delete comments that don't fit.
If you have a problem with our commenting policy, please feel free to email the publisher. He'd be happy to hear your issue. But if you do email him, follow the terms of service for email communications.
