Men In Aprons: Dedicated to FoodMen in Aprons is a web site dedicated to all things related to cooking. It is a free-form exploration of cooking, recipes, cookbooks, web sites, television shows, chefs, and everything else in between. At Men In Aprons, we are dedicated to giving you the best of our opinions, the best information that we gather, and real-life recipes that really work. These days, the most popular searches for food on the web yield giant recipe sites like cooks.com, cooking.com, and epicurious. That's great when you want to grab a recipe, but it rarely gives up any useful information. That's really where Men in Aprons was born. The idea behind Men in Aprons is that we need a place where men AND women can go to find real information about cooking, get opinions on programs and books, obtain basic knowledge, and pull down recipes that are simple and easy to execute. When I started this web site in the autumn of 2004, I originally intended it to be a place for men to go to find recipes and information. Soon, I found that women and men alike were visiting the site with equal interest in what I had to say. I am a big proponent of gender equality in the kitchen, but to spend my days on that soapbox would be a waste of bandwidth. I hope that through my example, men out there will break those gender stereotypes and get into the kitchen and do us proud. I do not think that male cooks should be reserved for television or cookbooks, nor do I believe that the only place a man should cook is in the backyard manning the grill. I believe that food and cooking should not be for the uber rich or the ultra pretentious. Food is for everyone.
The Men in Aprons Philosophy To provide real-world experiences and knowledge about cooking and the kitchen for people to use as they see fit.
