Silpat Silicone Baking Mats

If you're into baking, then Silpat Baking Matsare probably nothing new to you. They are silicone baking mats for use in the oven. They are intended to replace the use of parchment paper as a non-stick baking surface, which only have a life of one use. But Silpat can be used up to 3,000 times. That's a lot of cookies, my friends. As we know about silicone, these Silpat baking mats can be used in temperatures of up to 482 degrees Fahrenheit. That's pretty good, as I don't really know what you might bake on these at higher than 482 degrees. According to the manufacturer, Silpat mats are made of silicone and fiberglass and are Kosher certified. No cloven-hoofed animals were harmed in the making of these Silpats. The mats are washable in warm soapy water and can be air-dryed. They can be rolled up for storage or be stored flat. Silpat is all the rage in baking circles. I highly recommend picking a few up in time for your Christmas baking marathons. Trackback URL: http://www.meninaprons.net/mt/mt-tb.cgi/133 Comments
