They are intended to replace the use of parchment paper as a non-stick baking surface, which only have a life of one use. But Silpat can be used up to 3,000 times. As we know about silicone, these Silpat baking mats can be used in temperatures of up to 482 degrees Fahrenheit.That's pretty good, as I don't really know what you might bake on these at higher than 482 degrees.
