Granola Sweet and Salty Nut Bars

Incidentally, this method of review and chat I borrowed from one of my favorite food sites, What We're Eating. Tyler and Amanda have perfected the art of the chat with a little bit of snark thrown in. Amanda is a personal chef that whips up the most sexy food, and Tyler eats it. While you're hanging out on the internet, check out Nature Valley's web site. They have a cool interactive map you can see at Where's Yours? This is a great place to put your favorite outdoor area, nature hike, or camping area on the map. Tell your story and have a granola bar.

I've seen these, but haven't tried them yet. The Fruit & Nut Trail Mix bars are pretty good. One question: What are "Haystacks?"

Haystacks are a candy dessert that thewife makes. It's like peanut butter and butterscotch chips melted with some chocolate and then chinese egg noodles mixed in. You stir it all together and then drop lumps out onto wax paper. Let it cool and voila! Haystacks.

I've just returned home to South Australia after a 2 month holiday in US and Canada. I brought back my 13 y.o. son a pack of sweet & salty chewy nut bars (peanut) and we demolished them in a day. YUM. I can't get them here - how sad. I wonder if I could order them via net?

Hey, I haven't seen this granola bar yet. Thanks for the tip, sounds tasty. Like the online chat. It was different, but like The Men in Aprons Show better.
