Great Sites

My latest piece for Cooking for US is up. It's all about challenging yourself this Labor Day.

In the category of "I wish I had thought of it first" comes The Food Blog Blog by Tyler and Amanda of What We're Eating. This is another site that I think has real potential and could be really great for the food blogging niche. Food bloggers tend to be very clique-ish in our niche, but the problem has been that there hasn't been a way to find other food blogs. Until Now.

Don't forget to get in your submission for my new Carnival of the Grill. Men and Women are invited to get their grill on. You can use out door grills, indoor grills, gas grills, charcoal grills, George Foreman Grills, or those makeshift grill things you can buy for your stove. Just get it on and get it hot! I have already received 5 entries for the carnival, so I am expecting a good turnout.

While you're thinking about grilling, go check out some of my favorite bbq blogs. Brian Pearcy is TheBBQGuy.com. He just won 1st place in brisket at the Cabela's bbq cook-off in Michigan. I also pay close attention to White Trash BBQ and the BBQ Report. All very knowledgeable sites.

Men in Aprons reader, Curt, has a weblog chronicling his attempts at growing peppers, and making things from them. Check it out at fatalii-ty.blogspot.com. "Beautiful yet painful." His accompanying flickr site has some great pics, not to mention a recipe for making fatalii hot sauce.

food candy.com logoFinally, don't be a stranger! Go check out FoodCandy.com. It is a social networking site for foodies. There's forums, stories, reviews, places, and fully syndicated feeds of members' food blogs. It's a great spot to get a lot of food talk in one place.
