Recipe: Jack Daniels Ham Glaze

Jack DanielsSteve O. requested a good recipe for glazed ham. OK, I have to say that I've never actually cooked a whole ham, but I'm betting what you're really after is just the glaze. I don't think anyone actually smokes their own ham anymore, except in competitions. So here's a great recipe for a ham glaze with a little bit of Tennessee's fineset thrown in for good measure.

Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup brown sugar
- 1/2 Cup Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey
- 2 TBSP orange juice
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Before your ham is done, set a small saucepan over medium low heat. Combine all ingredients in saucepan and bring to a simmer. Continue simmering for 15 minutes or until thickened.

Glaze ham as you wish.
