When trying to understand food and cooking, sometimes things can get slightly confusing, since the language can sometimes get lost in translation. There are a number of food items that have more than one name. Often times Europeans use the different name than we do in the United States. So here are a couple of food terms translated.
I had been trying to think of a top 10 list, but I couldn't get past these three. I'll leave it up to you, dear readers, to help me out. Leave a comment to add your suggestions.
Scallion = Green Onion
Chickpea = Garbanzo bean
Oleo = Margarine
